The Lodge Complex Fires north of Branscomb has now grown to 1,800 acres and is considered only 10 percent contained after the fire made significant runs today, which is why it has more than doubled in size since this morning. There are 819 fire personnel assigned to the fire. There are 51 fire engines, 25 fire crews, 14 bulldozers, 14 water tenders and 4 helicopters. The fire is burning in heavy timber in steep rugged terrain. Access is still extremely difficult in the Elkhorn Ridge Wilderness. The California National Guard, California Conservation Corps, and Cal OES have joined the fight. CalFire, Laytonville Fire, BLM, California Department of Corrections and the California National Guard have been on scene since the early stages.
