The Lord, Israel’s king and redeemer, the Lord of heavenly - TopicsExpress

The Lord, Israel’s king and redeemer, the Lord of heavenly forces, says: I am the first, and I am the last, and besides me there are no gods. (Isaiah 44:6 CEB) Last week. Pastor Josh talked about King David. The Israelites originally were told to view God as king and refuse to be like the people around them. Even when Samuel told them that things would never be exactly what they wanted the people still begged to have a king. We often do the same thing when we know we shouldn’t have or do something. We do this to blend in or to feel normal. But God doesn’t ask his people to blend in. He asks them to stand above. We do that by rallying behind our God and king as his people. What ways have you claimed a king other than God?
