“The Lord hates….” 9/25/2013 By~Rebecca Sanders Adminnstrator Pro 6:16-19 - These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. You can’t help but think…I hate these things too” as you read these verses and yet each of us have at some time or another been guilty of at least some of these. These sins are those that intentionally hurt others…hurt the body of Christ as a whole. A lying tongue…the tongue as small as it is stirs up more trouble than the rest of the body put together. Feet running to mischief…in a hurry to cause problems. The last one I am sure we have all witnessed…he that soweth discord among the brethren. Notice it doesn’t say soweth discord among the worldly. No He is talking about “US” causing problems among our brothers and sisters in Christ . We see churches ripped apart by Christians who just have to stir up trouble…have to be talebearers…judges of others in the family. Lets look at this another way…what does God love? He loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: Give of your abilities, from the heart. Give a helping hand, a smile, a shoulder to cry on. Be a prayer warrior…bear the burdens of those you know need encouragement. There is so much we can given and not just “things” or “money” . Give your heart…love one another. Father make us mindful when we are guilty of those things you hate. The things that tear down and weaken the body of believers You hold dear. Make us also mindful to give freely to those in need…especially in need of love, caring, prayers, support. May we lift each other up as we go through valleys, and know that You are the same in the valley as on the mountain. Teach us to love as You do and give freely as You do to us. Forgive us when we let You down as well as one another. In Jesus name I pray earnestly. Amen Purposely love someone today. We never know what difference it may make. ~Rebecca
