“The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him, inquire of and for Him and require Him by right of necessity and on the authority of God’s word. It is good that one should hope in and wait quietly for the salvation, the safety and ease of the Lord.” (Lamentations 3:25-26, Amplified) There’s plenty to be uneasy about these days. God is telling us to “wait quietly” in the midst of a noisy, confusing world. Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have perfect peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer—take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.” (John 16:33, Amplified) Don’t expect things to improve in the world around you. Expect God to make Himself known in a deeper way as you turn to Him with all your heart.
