The Making of Innerworld - Pt. 3 – The Collaborators/Vince Clarke There are a select few artists that have been so influential to the point that their work is part of the fabric that makes up what music is to us. In the world of synth based pop music, perhaps no one has set more of those benchmarks than Vince Clarke. From his early work as a member of Depeche Mode (youtu.be/_6FBfAQ-NDE) and Yaz (as we know them in North America though Yazoo to most of the world) to his work over the past decades as one half of Erasure (their new record is out now!), his music has been around and inspiring us our whole lives. Growing up, we learned so much about songwriting and melody from the sounds of the Upstairs At Erics album, Only You being one of our favs (listen below).
