The Menteri Besar Inc or MBI will review the position of directors, chairmen and senior management of Selangor state-owned companies. This to ensure that the appointed directors are capable of taking the subsidiary companies to a higher level. In a statement, MBI CEO Faekah Husin said the review will be implemented in stages and begins with Kumpulan Semesta Sdn Bhd KSSB and Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad PNSB. There are 12 state subsidiaries under MBIs watch including Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad, Selangor State Investment Centre and Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor. Faekah also said the appointed directors should be professionals who are capable in bringing new ideas to strengthen the state-owned companies. It has been MBIs objective that all state-owned companies are strong, efficient, and capable of competing with private companies for the benefit of Selangor residents.
