The Meriden Fire Dept responded to 9385 incidents in 2014. The new year started with a 2-alarm fire at 5am this morning on Woodland Ridge. A vehicle fire in the driveway extended to all floors and into the attic of this 3-story condominium. Mutual aid was provided by Berlin and Wallingford to cover the city while all on-duty Meriden companies worked at the fire. One occupant was removed out a window over a ground ladder.
