The Middle Class are the New Working Poor in our country. The wealthy can pay their own way in life and the poor have a never ending list of government resources which never require them to pull themselves into the Middle class by whatever ever means. Nope.... the Middle Class... especially those who work in the private sector are saddled by both the Democrats and Republicans to pay for everything. The Democrats have always talk about the rich getting richer when proposing a legislative action which is guaranteed to fix all of the problems in the world, but by the time legislation gets through conference committee the weight gets shifted back to the middle class... slight of hand. I have seen this happen with my own eyes. The Republicans are so busy protecting corporate America that they lose sight of the ever sinking center of America... the Middle Class. Altruism is a great thing, but someone must pay.... someone must pay always. Im tired of people speaking about doing the Right Thing as if there were no cost especially if the costs decimates the Middle Class in America. The rich need no advocates, the poor have MANY advocates... the middle class or Bourgeoisie have no advocates and are being taxed and regulated out of existence. Our children are finding it harder and harder to go to college... while the poor very often find a way through government help, the Middle Class now have a hard time buying a home.... while there are special programs for the poor to buy homes that they often cannot afford (proof is the recent housing bubble caused by government mandated loans for the poor - forbes/2009/02/13/housing-bubble-subprime-opinions-contributors_0216_peter_wallison_edward_pinto.html.) It is easy to want everyone to be the same, but I seem to remember a book I read in high school in which there was a line which read “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” -George Orwell Animal Farm. That sums it up The political ruling elite are more equal... the poor are more equal and the rich are more equal by circumstance and the group to whom most of the costs are passed to is unfortunately my group... the Middle Class.
