The Mineral Fork trail is not too steep, with an average grade of 13%. It follows an old mining road, which goes almost all the way to the ridge overlooking Mill B South Canyon. You might occasionally see ATVs or motorcycles, but there were none this day. You can check out several old mines in the upper canyon. The first one, the Wasatch Mine, has a stream running out of it. The creek bed is dyed orange, probably from the iron content in the mine. The highest one below the ridgeline is the Regulator Johnson Mine. The one in between the two is the Silver King Mountain Mine.
