The Mitzov Part 4 Father God, I pray that I will give a true accounting of Thy Word to the world through the words you give me to write and that my words and my actions show to all, Your Glory and the peace that all may have through Christ Jesus. In Christ Jesus I pray, Amen. To all of my brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, may you be blessed and learn from the words I present to you now. Here is part 4 in the series on Gods Law for His people. Times and Seasons 107. That the new month shall be solemnly proclaimed as holy, and the months and years shall be calculated by the Supreme Court only. Exodus 12:2 “This month shall be unto you the beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.” 108. Not to travel on Shabbat outside the limits of ones place of residence. Exodus 16:29 “See that the LORD hath given you the sabbath; therefore He giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” 109. To sanctify Shabbat. Exodus 20:8 “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.” 110. Not to do work on Shabbat. Exodus 20:10 “but the seventh day is a sabbath unto the LORD thy God, in it thou shalt not do any manner of work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.” 111. To rest on Shabbat. Exodus 23:12; 34:21 “Six days thou shalt do thy work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may have rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.” Exodus 34:21 “Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest, in plowing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.” 112. To celebrate the festivals [Passover, Shavuot and Sukkot] Exodus 23:14 “Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto Me in the year.” 113. To rejoice on the festivals. Deuteronomy 16:14 “And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.” 114. To appear in the Sanctuary on the festivals. Deuteronomy 16:16 “Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which He shall choose; on the feast of unleavened bread, and on the feast of weeks, and on the feast of tabernacles; and they shall not appear before the LORD empty; 115. To remove chametz on the Eve of Passover. Exodus 12:15 “Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; howbeit the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses; for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.” 116. To rest on the first day of Passover. Exodus 12:16 “And in the first day there shall be to you a holy convocation, and in the seventh day a holy convocation; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you.”; Leviticus 23:7 “In the first day ye shall have a holy convocation; ye shall do no manner of servile work.” 117. Not to do work on the first day of Passover. That no chametz be in the Israelites possession during Passover. Exodus 12:19 “Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses; for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a sojourner, or one that is born in the land.” 122. Not to eat any food containing chametz on Passover. Exodus 12:20 “Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.” 123. Not to eat chametz on Passover. Exodus 13:3 “And Moses said unto the people: Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place; there shall no leavened bread be eaten.” 124. That chametz shall not be seen in an Israelites home during Passover. Exodus 13:7 “Unleavened bread shall be eaten throughout the seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee; neither shall there be leaven seen with thee, in all thy borders.” 125. To discuss the departure from Egypt on the first night of Passover. Exodus 13:8 “And thou shalt tell thy son in that day, saying: It is because of that which the LORD did for me when I came forth out of Egypt.” 126. Not to eat chametz after mid-day on the fourteenth of Nissan. Deuteronomy 16:3 “Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for in haste didst thou come forth out of the land of Egypt; that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.” 127. To count forty-nine days from the time of the cutting of the Omer (first sheaves of the barley harvest). Leviticus 23:15 “And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the day of rest, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the waving; seven weeks shall there be complete;” 128. To rest on Shavuot. Leviticus 23:21 “And ye shall make proclamation on the selfsame day; there shall be a holy convocation unto you; ye shall do no manner of servile work; it is a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.” 129. Not to do work on the Shavuot. Leviticus 23:21 “And ye shall make proclamation on the selfsame day; there shall be a holy convocation unto you; ye shall do no manner of servile work; it is a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.” 130. To rest on Rosh Hashanah. Leviticus 23:24 “Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: in the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest unto you, a memorial proclaimed with the blast of horns, a holy convocation.” 131. Not to do work on Rosh Hashanah. Leviticus 23:25 “Ye shall do no manner of servile work and ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto the LORD.” 132. To hear the sound of the shofar on Rosh Hashanah. Numbers 29:1 “And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, ye shall have a holy convocation: ye shall do no manner of servile work; it is a day of blowing the horn unto you.” 133. To fast on Yom Kippur. Leviticus 23:27 “Howbeit on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; there shall be a holy convocation unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; and ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto the LORD.” 134. Not to eat or drink on Yom Kippur. Leviticus 23:29 “For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.” 135. Not to do work on Yom Kippur. Leviticus 23:31 “Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.” 136. To rest on the Yom Kippur. Leviticus 23:32 “It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.” 137. To rest on the first day of Sukkot. Leviticus 23:35 “On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein”. 138. Not to do work on the first day of Sukkot. Leviticus 23:35 “On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein”. 139. To rest on the eighth day of Sukkot. Leviticus 23:36 “Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.” 140. Not to do work on the eighth day of Sukkot. Leviticus 23:36 “Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.” 141. To take during Sukkot a palm branch and the other three plants. Leviticus 23:40 “And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.” 142.To dwell in booths seven days during Sukkot. Leviticus 23:36 “Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths”.
