Mod Squads Woody - The nickname of a rundown 1951 Mercury station wagon driven by a group of three hippie cops (one black, one white, one blond) on the police drama The Mod Squad (ABC/1968-73). It went to that big junkyard-in-the-sky during the second season when it was driven off a cliff. On the show, Pete Cochran drives a 1951 Mercury Woody station wagon. When the show was not a tremendous hit the first season, Aurora decide to hold issuing the kit until the second season was confirmed. Ironically, the kit hit the stores just in time for viewers to see the TV car drive over a cliff in the season opener!
