The Moderate Party of Kansas is proud to support the idea behind KanVote, and encourages others to join them on Tuesday Sept 3rd for for a day of action in Topeka during the special legislative session. KanVote is not a single organization, but a collection of organizations and citizens working together to defend voter freedom in Kansas. The passing of the "Voter ID" law presents many obstacles to voters in our state. It also threatens the ability for communities to engage in grassroots voter registration because it requires a birth certificate or proof of citizenship in order to register. This does away with the traditional tabling or door-to-door voter registration that has motivated countless Kansans to vote. We all must band together to ensure that Kansans of all classes, ages, and races keep their voting rights.
