† The Monument † But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. Genesis 19:26 NIV Abraham left his country and brought along his nephew Lot. In time they prospered so much that they had to separate and Lot and his family moved on to Sodom. After this God told Lot and his family to get out of Sodom before He destroyed it. Lot’s wife went out with them but when she stopped and looked back she became a pillar of salt. In our life God is always calling us forward, always stretching our faith, and as long as we are alive we are not finished. We start out with a revelation, it gets us moving, and when we stop moving we become a monument. God is full of surprises and to think that He is predictable is a mistake. I know He said I change not and He does not, but the fact is that no one walked on water, until someone did. No one raised the dead until someone did. Stay stretchable today and allow God to do something new in your life. Do not write off everything new that comes your way as not of God. Keep looking forward and not behind you. Do not stop listening to God and become a monument.
