The Morning Report 1/26/15 Zeb and I reached Santee, South Carolina before we decided it was time to quit for the day. It was about 6 1/2 hours of driving and I was tired, plus this was where we get the BBQ sauce and I had been looking forward to some bbq to eat. We were lucky in that the restaurant was within walking distance of the hotel and we walked to it. I was really surprised that we were the only ones in the restaurant but the food was good and I did get bbq sauce to take home and enough to last for a while. I just got Zeb up and we will go to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast and then get on the road again. The van is driving fine although Ive heard noises that I did not know what they were but all of that can be fixed at Absolute Auto by Chris. He is going to have some things to do when we get there. It does seem that the van is getting 20 plus miles to the gallon which is great. It is still a little chilly up here and Im looking forward to Florida weather but I see that it is going to be chilly down there also so I guess I will be cold for a while. The visit with Mike, Jackie and Sean (and of course Eve) [also Pogo and Cash] was a super time and we really enjoyed it but we are looking forward to being home with all our family and animals, I know that they missed us as much as we missed them but in a few hours we will be home. Yall have a great and wonderful day and remember to take a moment to smell the roses!
