The Mothers of Invention are front and center on this great Poster From The Past! Its a pity that the credits to this photograph remain unknown to this day, however the poster was done by John H. Meyers. It is one of the several posters that he did for Bill Grahams Fillmore Auditorium. Also along with the Mothers, the Oxford Circle were also on the bill that night 48 years ago back in 1966. This is BG poster number #27 in the old Fillmore poster series. The concerts took place at the Fillmore Auditorium on the 9th and the Scottish Rites Temple on the 10th here in glorious San Francisco. This poster was printed three times. It is indeed unfortunate to report that the original printers Plate and poster that once resided here the archives of Posterville were stolen several years ago. There is a SUBSTANTIAL REWARD offered for information regarding its whereabouts and or recovery. Being that there was only one plate made for this poster, theres only that one floating around! Only thing I can say further on this subject is, beware of a so-called infamous rock photographer with the initials D.A. …. more details and his full name given on request! Share these Mothers with yo Mama! Very Cool piece Approved by Professor Poster
