The Muslim Leadership Initiative is a Zionist-backed institution designed to send Muslim leaders to faithwash and normalize Israels occupation. The group has been embroiled in controversy. Some former members stepped away after discovering that the initiative had misrepresented itself and its background. Others have left MLI after witnessing it take advantage of (and, in at least one case, physically assault) Palestinians in the West Bank. Still, however, some MLI members (particularly non-Palestinian ones) are adamant that this is the way forward and that Palestinian short-sightedness is the reason why such a Zionist-backed program is necessary.
