The NWCC was inaugurated on 21st September 2010 by Dr. Karan Singh, President, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) together with Lyonpo Minjur Dorji, the then Minister of Home and Cultural Affairs, RGOB. Since its inauguration the Centre has been providing free classes of Yoga, Music and library membership. The Centre has also been hosting various programmes like Art & Painting Exhibition, Cultural Programmes, Therapy Session, Talks by eminent personals on various topics and many more. The Centre also sponsored visits of various artists of Bhutan to participate in the festivals organized by India. The Nehru-Wangchuck Cultural Centre successfully completes its 3rd year on 21st September 2013 and is celebrating its 3rd Anniversary by organizing a Cultural Programme Evening by the following members of the NWCC on Saturday 21st Sept 2013 at 6pm: 1.
