The Napthine Liberal Governments cuts to TAFE have come at a time when Victorias unemployment rate is the highest in mainland Australia and a national skills shortage sees more and more positions filled by workers on 457 visas. The Napthine Liberal Government has cut $1.2billion from TAFE, and more than 2,500 jobs have been lost. Youth unemployment in the west is now over 20%.
