The Nashville Police Department responded to some accidents in the past week. Last Monday, there was a fender bender on the Shell parking lot, north of Nashville by the Interstate, while last Tuesday, there was an accident on East Elm Street, just west of North Mill Street, as a car driven by 62-year old Joyce A. Ibendahl of Oakdale, allegedly pulled out of a parking lot and struck a vehicle driven by 68-year old Abbie J. Hoffman. There were no injuries or citations. On Friday evening, there was an accident at the intersection of Mockingbird Road and Route 127, as a pickup truck driven by 78-year old Herman E. Cramer of Greenview, allegedly struck the rear of a pickup truck driven by 23-year old Michael P. Kennedy of Greenville. There were no injuries, but Cramer was arrested for DUI and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. There was a fender bender later that night in the Best Western parking lot by the interstate. Again, there were no injuries or citations issued. The Nashville Police Department also some arrests. Last Tuesday, they initiated a traffic stop at the Route 127 & Interstate 64 overpass and arrested 43-year old William J. Tedrow of Marissa for Driving While License Suspended. On Wednesday, they arrested 48-year old Regena K. Foster of Nashville for Possession of a Credit Card of Another Person and Possession of Stolen Property. This stemmed from a residential burglary on December 17th. On Saturday morning, they went to a residence on the 800 block of South Kaskaskia Street to arrest 28-year old Garrett L. Ralston of Hoffman for several felony warrants and an Illinois Department of Corrections warrant. Ralston barricaded himself in the residence, but eventually ended the stand-off and was taken into custody without incident. They also responded to a theft on the 11,700 block of Route 127, took a report of phone harassment from a resident on the 500 block of West Adams Street, took a report of harassment from a resident on the 100 block of East David Drive, assisted with a property exchange on the 200 block of East Lebanon Street, took a report of harassment from a resident on the 600 block of West Maple Street, responded to a noise complaint on the 100 block of East 3rd Street, assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Department with a combative inmate, responded to a domestic dispute on the 1100 block of South Sonya Circle, as well as one on the 1500 block of West Saint Louis Street, responded to a suicidal subject on the 800 block of East Adams Street, while reporting to the 600 block of West Goodner Street for a disturbance.
