The Nation Named Nigeria @ 54: Counting Our Loss and Gains. Today marks another Independence day of our dear nation Nigeria. As a student of History, i read about the transformation and freedom from our colonial masters. The handing over to Tafawa Balewa at the Square in Lagos. What a great day! While celebrating the independence, there are many untold stories. Suddenly, the millitary strikes leading to differnt Coup De Tact bloody and bloodless. From Civillian rule back to Millitary rule. During this time, self aclaimed saviour is part of the millitary rulers, he detained, maimed and murdered some of our prominent leaders, i guess we will recall the issues. Yet his still running a race to rule our dear country today. Thanks to Ebora Owu for handing us back to democracy but in a short while truncated by the deadly master millitary power, why cos we lack cooperation among ourselves. Back in the Millitary rule, many gains and loss until 1993, i dont need to tell you the events. We witnessed another reign of anarchy who showed us that after God its him, but at the end Na Delilah Weaken Samson, but na Apple Kill our General ooo. Death its inevitable. Permit me to say this, Hausa didnt rule us for 38 years ooo, they only supervised the helm of affairs. In the memory of our dear late Musa Yardua, just in little years with 7 point agenda, he set a landmark. The little he achieved gave a turning point to the millitants and southerners in general. Assuming the trend keeps on then, we should at least be better than before. We are regretting now, but Its now they want to rule us. Well, General with white beards took over and shortely he founded a legacy which our leaders are now deviating from. With cock and bull story they inherited the problems and added salt to our wounds. Maybe from fry pan to fire. But some things are actually good now, little improvements in the southwest, south south and southeast well maybe just some areas in the North central but just hell in the whole northern part, dont say No just try and travel around then write down your ordeals. I dont want to condemn much, but praise or comend in other words. Some of ur leaders are doing great, look around you then you shall know them. Some gained power just for immunity to loot our money, neither use the money here in Nigeria else took it abroad to add n boost their economy. Though many of us are enjoying, we are less concern about what is happening to our neighbour until we are affected. Nothing is working here cos the followers are just too ignorant of the mistakes of there leaders else they pat them at the back with a slogan #bringbackyourfather and your mother lekansii i feel for the youths cos they have lost there dreams by being used by some dumbheaded leaders to rob them of there dreams. Some said am talking too much, let me rest here till another day. But before i drop my pen or keyboard, was born into this world in the 80s precisely Nigeria. One common slogan before and after then was Up Nepa. Till now it still exist, but in advanced way joined with curse awon oloriburuku ti muna dee and many more. When will there be regular Electricity Power Supply in Nigeria? I dont think that dream can come true,do you know why? Government are not sincere cos as soon as there are regular power supply, there will be a vast drop on the sales of Generators. They create our problems and yet gave us solutions that will only benefit their family alone. Thats why no vocational jobs or artisans want to sit and work anymore. You see the same problem here, like my younger brother wil say My battery is about to die. Fellow Nigerians if i contest for the post of Nigeria President will you vote for me? Lailai cos i am not a rich man, yes. Cos am not popular, yes. Cos am still young, yes. Cos i dont have the experience, yes. Cos am not in the popular political party, yes. Cos i cant kill to get power, sorry thats enough.. If there is one thing we have achieved its just our ability to stand as a Nation. Despite the level of corruption, insecurity, poverty, bad economy, unemployment, bad followership and leadership, relligious differences, ethnicity, insurgency, looting and add yours, that shook us. We are still standing as One Nigeria!!! Am a Nigerian, i live in Nigeria, i believe in Nigeria. Nigeria can be great! For a better Nigeria, it begins with YOU and I. Change your ignorant and corrupt mentality and you have change Nigeria! God bless Nigeria!!!
