The National Association of kwara state students, Ntnl Headquarters(NAKSS) conducted her election on the 22nd of Dec 2014 at the NLC Kwara state council secretariat to usher in those that will represent their interest in the noble association(NAKSS). It is a fundamental fait that the election was marred with a lot of irregularities, multiple voting, impersonation and lack of adequate informations. All the process adopted by the electoral Committee throughout the conduct of the election was illegal, null and void because, all their acts were against the spirit of the NAKSSnhqs Constitution. First and foremost, the electoral committee failed to observe the election timetable that was presented to the entire congress by them. This act is an attempt to rig the election by deliberately not informing the congress of their plan to change the timetable when the time arouse they did not stop the sales of contestant forms as it was stipulated on the election timetable. They sold some forms even a day to the election. They deliberately go against the provisions of the constitution by not following all the elections procedures stipulated in the constitution. As it was clear that some contestant did not even show-up for the screening let alone talk of presenting manifestos. Furthermore, the election started with the accreditation of Senators/Electorates, and the available ballot papers were not counted for the senators to know the total number of ballot papers produced. The said ballot papers were distributed to the One Hundred and Thirty-Three(133) Senators that were accredited. Except the elections into the offices of the National President, Vice President Admin, Treasurer and Deputy Senate President that the results were more that the TOTAL NUMBER of the Accredited senators, and the used ballot papers. The questions that comes to someones mind is that: where did the Electoral Committee got their election results for those offices ? It is our submission that the general election was rigged and full of the election Malpractices which same is against the provision of the associations constitution. More over, Having noticed the act of the electoral committee to rig the election, all the available Presidential Aspirants resisted the counted of votes scored by each aspirant for the said post. As it is, No result was Announced for the office of the NATIONAL PRESIDENT. i.e No WINNER was Declared. As a result of these irregularities,Malpractices,rigging and inability of the electoral committee to conduct a free and fair election. I want to use this opportunity to urge every NAKSSites to disregard informations going around by some miscreant parading themselves as an Elected PRESIDENT,VICE PRESIDENT Admin,TRESURES, and DEPUTY SENATE PRESDENT. The questions to ask them are: (1) How many votes were counted including the Invalid votes;for their post ? (2) How many votes polled against their Opponents ? (3) How many votes is their opponents polled ? And lastely (4) Who delear them as the winner ?... At this juncture; We want to use this medium to appreciate the Security Personnel, the Senators, stakeholders, and patriotic Students whose stood by us during and after the Election. We also thank and pray for those that comes from a very far distance purposely to perform their constitutional right, we wish you a save trip and a journey mercy back to your various destinations.
