Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the BB&T Center for the Performing Arts at 1 East Main Street, Luray, VA. The fee for a 7-day pass for cars would go from $10 (winter), $15 (summer) to $25 year-round. The fee for motorcycles would go from $10 to $20, and the cost of a 7-day pass for a single person (on foot or a bicycle) would go from $8 to $12. Under the current proposal, the cost of an Annual Park Pass would increase from $30 to $50. The new fees would become effective May 1, 2015. Shenandoah’s current park entrance fees have been in place since 2006. Fees collected at the park are critical to the park’s operation. Eighty percent of fees collected stay in the park for visitor related projects and services. The other twenty percent are distributed to other national parks that do not collect fees.
