The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for Montgomery County until 9 a.m. Friday. High winds are expected to drive wind chill temperatures to minus 5. These conditions can lead to frost bite and hypothermia. Take precautions to protect yourself and others. Dress in layers when heading outdoors. If you see someone in need, call Montgomery County’s 24-Hour Crisis Center Hotline at 240-777-4000. Anyone in Montgomery County who is in an emergency situation and needs assistance to stay warm can visit the county Crisis Center at 1301 Piccard Drive in Rockville.
