The National Weather Service has just declared a Flash Flood WARNING until 7 am for Chautauqua and southwestern Cattaraugus Counties. A narrow corridor of thunderstorms has dumped an inch or more of rain in that region, with a chance for 2 more inches in the coming hours. Runoff from heavy rains could overflow small streams and low lying areas, as well as urban spots such as Westfield, Mayville, and Jamestown.
