The National Weather Service is forecasting light rain accompanied by freezing temperatures to impact the Houston - Galveston region. The accumulation of ice is possible Thursday night and Friday morning. A winter storm watch is in effect from the early hours Friday morning to 3 p.m. Friday afternoon. The City of Pearland is advising residents who must be on the roads Friday morning to use extra caution on bridges and overpasses. It is recommended that travel plans through the area be adjusted to avoid potentially dangerous driving conditions. A lot of uncertainty remains with this forecast.
