The New Year is here. One of things many of us do around this - TopicsExpress

The New Year is here. One of things many of us do around this time is look back at what we did and what we could have done. We usually wish we would have done more. So we make resolutions. Set goals. Start fresh. This is good. Its self-improvement. Whether its eating healthier, building a new habit like flossing, or getting started on a business idea. But the reality is, if youre looking to make a major change in your life, it will be hard. Most New Years Resolutions fail and then its back to what weve always done. I know how this feels. I used to make a Resolution almost every year related to working out more. But my plan would eventually fail. I learned this failure to stick with resolutions and goals usually comes down to willpower and that we have a limited supply of it. So a year ago, I made a change for how I approach building habits. I did research on the psychology behind habits and how to make them stick. Then, I ran experiments on myself. Heres posts about the results of these experiments and how I finally found a way to build habits that I had tried to build for years. Start with this one about a brain trick you can use to build any habit: The 1 trick I use to build every habit - blog.pickcrew/the-1-trick-i-use-to-build-every-habit/ Then, heres 3 more posts specific to certain habits you might be looking to build: How to be more productive by not being productive: blog.pickcrew/productive/ How clutter affects you and what you can do about it: blog.pickcrew/how-clutter-effects-you-and-what-you-can-do-about-it/ 5 tricks to fix bad eating habits: blog.pickcrew/how-to-eat-a-sustainable-plan-for-eating-healthy-for-life/ I hope these are helpful. Happy New Year :) Mikael Founder of Crew
