The New York Times reports that New York Metro chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) has launched “IWillListen.org“, a campaign encouraging listening to people with a mental illness diagnosi “nonjudgmentally and with understanding.” Adds a creative director of the project, “It’s counterintuitive to ask people to raise their hands and say, ‘I’m not going to follow the conventional thought about mental illness, and I’m going to be open to the people who need support.’ ”
