The North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) is taking applications for a housing rent-assistance program in 11 Northeast Missouri counties. Applications for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 8 Housing Rent-Assistance Program will be taken at NECAC County Service Centers. Applicants who meet federal income and other guidelines will be put on a waiting list. Once their names reach the top of the list, applicants will receive a renter certificate to search for an apartment, house or mobile home. The affected counties are Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, Shelby and Warren
