The Nutcracker, 2014: Bexs compelling argument to be old enough to handle the theater, mom and attend the show for the first time started off with a comedy show. I had to wake the Littles up from a nap which left B with a case of the crankies, which I fixed by entrusting the most special tickets to the young man with his big boy pockets. And now were running late- and by running I mean RUNNING, all four of us running down the street from the 5 block away parking garage, Ky with her tights falling down around her ankles every few steps because Mommy didnt notice they appeared to have no waist elastic. We arrive with 30 seconds to spare and surprise, no tickets. Managed to somehow finagle new printouts right in time to be seated as the door shut. So, after all that, they thankfully really enjoyed the show. Bex posed with just about the whole cast afterward, and Ky felt brave enough to visit just one ballerina. Most special was B delicately hanging his momento Nutcracker ornament on the tree and then clearly getting lost in thought as he stared dreamily at it. Also I dang near broke my smile ooogling over how cute I thought they looked in their fancy duds. Great tradition, Auntie Kerry - cant wait for McKinley to join us in a few years!
