The Obamas have been known to take luxury to the extreme at the cost of the American taxpayers, but this is a new low. The restaurant, situated in Waikiki boasts granite “quarried in the mountains of India” and custom-crafted furniture in a space that evokes the “underground architecture of ancient Rome.” And the price of a single meal can be as much as $1,000 according to Honolulu magazine. It’s possible that the First Family was invited and not charged the full $500,000.00 EACH member rates, but knowing how extravagantly they vacation, we think that’s unlikely.
