The “Oko-Odu” I know The Ikorodu I know is not Agric bus stop - TopicsExpress

The “Oko-Odu” I know The Ikorodu I know is not Agric bus stop or Ogolonto or Majidun. If you have only been to any of the above places and thought that you have been to Ikorodu, youre kidding yourself. These places are only Ikorodus shadows because the Ikorodu I know is: Ejina, Sele, Ijomu, Ita-Elewa, Itunpate, Itunmaja, and many other Ituns. Ikorodu, a small but mighty town (ilu kekere oko ilu banta-banta). A town filled with erudite, cultured, sociable, loving, and tolerant people. How can I forget this wonderful town of Eluku, the sound of Gbedu strikes in my head as I write this. The Ikorodu I know is Obun-Ale, its Obun-Oke, its Orita, its Ladega, its Oja-Iworo, its Oja Ebute and so on. How can you ignore all of this and tell me that you know Ikorodu. Yes, things are changing rapidly but we will never forget how Oko-Odu started and how its made. The Ikorodu I know is Oriwu, its Liwe, its Magbo, its Sedu and other festivals. The Ikorodu I know is a lovely and peaceful place to live and I urge you all to keep our Ikorodu safe, make it mega and flourish, and let it be our pride. P.S: Home sick :) -MOAB © 2014
