The Old Lady has come home................... It went well. I got the daughter down to £6500. She loved seeing the cash. Her mother is 85 and was quite sad to see their chariot leave. Poor old lady. She said the car was her husbands pride and joy. The service record is up-to-date and the car had its last service in June. I checked our countrys Auto Trader and we have only two other 350s for sale. Another 2004 with 160,000 ks on the clock for £7800 and then a 2006 with 117,000 ks for £8500. So this car with 64,000 ks is a bargain in South African terms. The car is absolutely immaculate. One can see the old man cherished this car. It is almost as if I can feel his soul while driving it. Strange feeling. Maybe he wanted me to have it because it will continue living a pampered life. My Dad said we can go get some mesh for the front grille on Monday at the Cape Town dealer. He also said the two of us will first tow the STR with his Rangie on a trailer back to my house which is 1600 ks from here and then we will come fetch the XJ and do the same. Im very excited firstly that my cars wont be on the road racking up mileage and secondly to spend some alone time with my Old Bear. Im going to hose the car down now and will then take some more pictures for you guys which Ill post in an album like I did with the STR. Thanks for all the advice. I think this is the coolest bunch of guys and gals in all of Facebook!
