YUKON IS NOW A TRI-POD AND READY FOR HIS NEW HOME! Yukon is a Husky/Shepherd mix. Estimated bd 4/28/14. This wonderful loving little guy has had a horrible start to his life. He started off in TX with a family who did not take care of him when he was hit by a car. They did not seek any medical help for him for over a week and he suffered with a broken pelvis and a broken leg in several places. They finally took him to a shelter to be euthanized. The shelter saw the amazing loving spirit that he possessed even in his intense pain. They gave him pain medication and reach out to EAPL to help him. We immediately transferred him to us under sedation and he was in surgery within 24 hrs. Yukon surprised us all when he was up and walking within a day of his surgery. Unfortunately, his leg could not be saved but that has not stopped Yukon. He is up and about going up and down the stairs of the patio out to the yard. Every day is a new day for him AND best of all he is the same loving, gentle-spirit that arrived on that transport trusting that life was going to be a better life for him.
