The Open Society Foundations Roma Health Project has made available up to 5 travel and accommodation grants for Roma health advocates to participate in the 4th EPHA Annual Conference “Our health, our economy, our society, our future: a Brave New World”. The conference will take place on the 4th-5th September 2013 in Brussels. Applicants need to submit a CV and a cover/motivation letter by email to Ms Dorota Sienkiewicz ([email protected]) by end of Thursday 22nd of August. The conference will take place on the 4th and 5th September 2013 in Brussels. Selection criteria: - Primarily originated from Central and Eastern European Countries; - Active in civil society sector on Roma health and health-related rights for a minimum of two years OR past proven record and experience; - Thorough understanding of and commitment to Roma health issues is a must; - Previous experience in advocacy (influencing decision making at local, regional, national, European or international level) is desirable; - Fluency in written and spoken English is an asset; - Excellent written and oral communication skills; - A university degree in relevant field is an asset; - Strong analytical skills; - Creative mindset, strong motivation and initiative; - Culturally sensitive; - Ideally a ‘young Roma leader’; - Should you be selected, we expect your full commitment to attending and participating.
