The Opp 12 and under Cal Ripken (a division of Babe Ruth Baseball) baseball team will be competing in the World Series Tournament which will be held August 9 - 16 in Hammond Indiana. Opp will be representing the Southeast Region and will be competing against 9 other teams from New England, Middle Atlantic, Ohio Valley, Midwest Plains, Southwest, Pacific Northwest and Pacific Southwest, as well as the Indiana State Championship team and the host team from Hammond Indiana. The Opp Alabama team won the Southeast Region Championship Sunday in Holly Springs, NC by defeating Gloucestire (pronounced-Glouster), Virginia by a score of 7 - 0. Head Coach - Robbie Ross Asst.
