The Oregon Association for Liberia and Sierra Leone Community organized an event to raise awareness of the deadly Ebola virus in West Africa and to collect donations for the relief effort this past Friday at First Unitarian Church. The Office of Equity and Human Rights co-sponsored the event, which drew about 60 people, mostly from the Portland African community. Donations are being accepted by Medical Teams International at medicalteams.org
