The Oualichi Womens Soccer Association would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of our dearest friend Erika Cannegieter-Smith. Erika was the president and co-founder of the Be the Change Foundation and a supporter of Oualichi. With the help of the Be the Change foundation, the association was able to purchase uniforms for the girls team. Not only that, it is via her that one of the Be the Change members volunteered and collaborated with Oualichi to organize this years free summer camp for girls on the island. Erika was a true Oualichi woman: a strong woman who worked towards the betterment of the Sint Maarten community. Her vision, positive nature and beautiful soul inspired many. Through her work it was made possible that many (social) projects on the island were funded by Be the Change members. We hope that many will honor Erikas memory and follow in her footsteps by supporting social projects on our lovely island. We urge all to support Be the Change by becoming a member.
