The Outlaw Wild Wild West, Hello tattoo peoples here I am sitting at my mini Watch Lathe, I used this station to build custom parts for everything from tattoo machines, bikes, guns. This time I preparing a sand casted frame for building, the concept for this build come from my life growing up in the Wild Wild West, Las Vegas, Sin City USA, the town of glitz and glamor made famous for gambling and Show girls and some of the greatest names in the entertainment business. The gambler had his own style and one of the tools of his craft was the Peral Handled Darranger, growing up I aways wanted to own a one, then one day during my wild days I came across a sling shot gun arm hoster with a a Pearl handled Colt Darranger. I had to own it, it ended up being mine after many hours of drinking and haggling, wasnt cheep but I aways felt like money doesnt mean nothing if it cant buy what does. My 1st Xwife sold off my gun collection when I went to jail, of course I was only gone a month, but that part of why she became an X, lol Anyway I loved the look and feel of those peral handles in vintage steel, this machine was built to give me that special feeling back that I felt when I held that Darranger in my hands. So I looked high and low and found the thickest Pearl around, then I milled out a thick iron sand casted tattoo machine frame to place the pearl into. Wanting to stay old school I used an old steel browning process, with the frame now ready I carefully hand cut and shaped the pearl to fit in the milled frame. Keeping to the handmade process I hand milled an A-Bar and then using an 150 year old skeleton key I then milled and tap and threaded it into the Contact Screw and the contact screw stand-off and even the power clip stand-off, and using a vintage second key I made the tube vice thumb nut. For the cherrie on top I took 1800s Buffalo Head Silver Nickels and shaped them into my coil covers, then to compliment the Outlaw I milled a tube out and added pearl to it. Now that I had the baddest pearl handle tattoo machine it had to have a home so I made a wood case with dual pearl handled pistols inlaid design with an old school gangster skull and smoken gun barrels forming a banner that reads Old School Forever.
