The PH of our ocean is changing, due to the carbon dioxide thrown - TopicsExpress

The PH of our ocean is changing, due to the carbon dioxide thrown to the air and environment from big factories and other countless products. This affects our atmosphere and our air, contributes to the global warming and actually, our ocean absorbs big part of this, which helps with the global warming, but sadly recent studies are revealing that it is actually changing the oceans PH, which is increasingly becoming highly acidic. This is already affecting species around the globe, from oysters farmers who are already experiencing problems with their productions and quality of products, as this living creatures cant cope with the high acidic levels in the ocean. To plankton, vital organisms to the oceans ecosystems and eventually us and the whole planet. Coral reef are being affected, with irreversible damage. Yesterday i shared a link to the new project in australia, where the great barrier reef (one of the most fundamental marine ecosystems in the world, and home to big part of oceans life) is being compromised, and might suffer irreversible damage. Last night saw this alarming news on the changing PH in our ocean and how coral reefs are being affected, and ironically, it reminded me of Australias great barrier reef. So here we are, facing enormous natural changes, ecosystems changes and still we compromise ours planet wellbeing, which means, our own wellbeing for progress. For something that could be gone or redone. The planets ecosystems and wellbeing are not replaceable. Once they are gone, thats it. We hear this in the news, and it has almost become part of normal life, i mean we are use to hear the ocean is getting dirty, the air conditions are getting worse, the poles are melting, and is just like a normal thing of this century. Still we drive through a life which doesnt seem to take this warnings seriously. But it is happening! it is out there, and sooner or later we will have to face radical decisions, to be consciously aware at least, thats the first step for small changes. The energy, is already available in order to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide and that way improve the environments health and our coexistent in this place. But too much is involved money-wise, too much thinking, too much too research. More easy to think that it will get fix it self and stay in our comfortable lifes till something hits us.
