The PORTICO GALLERY - SEE ARTISTS SUMMER EXHIBITION FEATURING SOUTH EAST ENGLAND ARTISTS July 6th - 7th September 2013 PORTICO ART GALLERY | RIVERHEAD | KENT | TN13 2BU The Portico Art Gallery’s summer exhibition features a variety of works from seven highly collectible artists whose unique and creative approaches have ensured they have risen in prominence over the past few years. Portico Art Gallery is delighted to sponsor an exhibition lead and curated by Mark Paul Perry, a talented artist who also promotes creative and unique artists in the South East. Mark’s works feature serene images using oil, acrylic and gesso on canvas, linen, board and paper which he manipulates, not only with traditional tools, but also a palette knife and airbrush to provide texture and movement. The show will also feature contemporary works from Guy Portelli; evocative watercolours from Chris Myers; intriguing sculpture from Heater Verrall; incredible body forms by Sharon Done and vibrant contemporary work from Rosy James. Portico Art Gallery is an active sponsor and promoter of new and exciting contemporary artists. We are proud to introduce the talented young artist, Deborah Aves in this exhibition. Deborah explores movement with a particular interest in transcribing that movement onto the canvas. Her dancer paintings are inspiring evocative pieces. All works in the exhibition are originals pieces and available to purchase from the gallery. We are open Tuesday to Saturday 10am-5pm.
