The Patron Saint of Christian Youth!! St. Aloysius Gonzaga (1568 – 1591) came from a powerful Italian family. His father held an important position and planned for St. Aloysius to inherit it. However, St. Aloysius had greater love for God and became a Jesuit priest. He renounced his wealth and title, and lived an austere life of holiness and purity. He helped the victims of a plague in Rome and was eventually infected by the disease. He died at the age of 23. St. Aloysius is the patron saint of Christian youth. His feast day is on 21 June.
