The Pats equipment personnel know that Brady likes his footballs on the low end of the psi range, so they inflated them just above the acceptable range. As the footballs cooled the air pressure decreased. On the other hand, Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers favor higher psi in their footballs. So, if Bradys footballs were inflated to 12.5 and Lucks were inflated to 14.5 then we would see the same reduction in psi due to lower temperatures, but Lucks would fall to 12.5 still within acceptable range, whereas Bradys would fall below at 10.5. Ive thrown footballs at 14psi and at 10psi. To be honest, theres not much difference in feel. I cant understand how so many talking heads out there cant understand this concept. Its a proven physics formula that is tangible and testable. Are they simply that ignorant and uneducated? Not one person in the media or dummy NFL analysts like Hasselbeck and Brunell are taking this into consideration. Theyre even gone so far as to accuse them of lying. These idiots have lost their ability to use sound reason and objectivity. The NFL needs to come out and explain the laws of physics to these ignorant bafoons. I guarantee its is not the first time or the first team to have their footballs go below the acceptable threshold. The problem lies with the NFL for not having a better policy. The refs should test the footballs outdoors just before kickoff. Not 2 hours before in a climate controlled room. They should also have an official test all footballs at halftime and inflate or deflate them if there has been fluctuations. Its either they do that or broaden the damm psi range. This has become a witch hunt without facts or evidence. The silence of the NFL is deafening. Where the hell is Goodell? Squash this nonsense now and tell all these idiots to refer to page 598 of their High School physics book.
