The People in John 7 hated Christ message because it exposed sin ( John 7: 7 ). They were not doing the will of God. Therefore they were not in postion to properly evalute Christ teaching. In fact, they wanted to break the sixth commandment by killing Christ. Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepth the law? Why go ye to kill me ( John 7: 19)? The people assume that Christ is insane, The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil; who goeth about kill thee ( John 7: 20 ). The people were unaware the Jews leaders have plotted to Kill Christ.
