The People’s Forum of Hosur Forum Respected People of Hosur, This is to inform everyone that THE PEOPLES FORUM OF HOSUR in its brain storming meeting held on 15th August at SISHYA SCHOOL unanimously agreed to the formation of this Forum,a Co-Ordinating body to unite people through their various Associations. The Peoples Forum Of Hosur would play a vital role in creating synergy through joint people participation in various projects forthe betterment of the People & Environment. Our Dynamic Sub Collector Mr Praveen.P.Nair IAS ,along with our Tahsildhar Mr A Hameedullah also participated in the meeting and stressed the need to have a Forum. He told the people that we must utilize Information Technology& create a website for the peoples forum. The Peoples Forum Of Hosur should be a co-ordinating body that could interface between government, Industries & the people. Mr Piyush Manush an Environmentalist from Salem shared his success story about making a huge difference for the people of salem by cleaning dumped wastes on dry lake beds and restoring it back to its original glory and thereby building up the water table through 4 lakes at Salem. The Meeting was well attended by heads of various organisations • The President -CSR Initiative for Hosur Society • The members of Hosur Industries Association • The President of Hosur Small & Medium Industries • Members of Rotary Clubs, Lions Club, Hosur RoundTable 87, The Jaycees, • Members of National Human Resources Development • Kairali Samajam • The FederationPresident of Residents Welfare Associations of Hosur • The President of Auditors Association of Hosur • The President of Krishnagiri district Auditors Association • The President of Tamil Nadu Govt Employees Association • TheCo-Ordinator Hosur Women Social Welfare Association • The President of The Childrens Movement for Civic Awareness Hosur • General Public, Schools & Students Going through the various feedbacks received from the people the common consensus are • No to Plastics, Plastic free Hosur , Make the cost of plastic carry bags very expensive thereby forcing people to cut the habit for asking plastic bags • Collected plastic to be recycled • Identify Public Utility places, Lakes and protect them including De weeding • Street light maintenance , mosquitoes eradication & rats nuisance • Drains to be clean & free from water stagnation • Rain Water Harvesting to be a priority • Create a Vision Document,& Master Plan for Hosur by a professional body • Plant at least one tree per house • Better Traffic regulation • Maintain & Clean New Bus Stand • Provide safe drinking water • Divert Storm water into the Lakes JPSR represented by its promoters Madam Jaya Priya & Mr Sriraman magnanimously offered The Peoples Forum of Hosur a quarter page free of cost for all the issues to report & communicate the Forum activities. The people gave a huge round of applause for their noble gesture. It was also decided that the peoples forum would meet every Sunday at Municipal park ( near Ramanayakam Lake ) between 10 am & 11 am.
