The Pitter Patter of Pits is TWICE as loud today, as we showcase two ladies who look like they could be twins, but they’re not. ZOE is 2 years old and is a snuggle-bug with a streak of Houdini in her, or maybe it’s just a sense of adventure. This little girl escaped from her previous home on multiple occasions — she didn’t want to be left on her own in the backyard! So, she took it upon herself to go find some play pals. Zoe’s next home will need to have a well-fenced yard, and her new parents will need to understand that this girl has to be on a leash when walking around. She’s smart, though, and already knows a boatload of commands and how to take treats gently. CHLOE is 4 years old and is full of love. In fact, she’s so friendly that when she meets new people or is in a situation with lots of activity, she’s a little over-exuberant. Dog park isn’t for this gal, but she could do well with another dog who plays at the same level she does. Unfortunately, that doesn’t include cats. Both Chloe and Zoe are active Pit Bull teenagers who want to find a parent who will take the time to teach them proper dog manners and how to be a good ambassador for Power Breeds. Anyone interested in either of these girls should schedule a meet ’n greet with the Shelter so ALL members of the family (dogs and children included) can get acquainted before going home. Famous Pit Bull of the Day: Pit-lovers the world over know that Pit Bull Terriers were used throughout Victorian times, Edwardian times, and up through the 1920s as “Nanny Dogs.” Their loyalty and care for those smaller than them makes them ideal as a child’s watchdog, so it’s not surprising that The Little Rascals had their own canine keeper: Petey, an American Pit Bull Terrier. #pitrescue #pitbullrescue #dogdaysofsummer #pitlove
