The Police Officer ... Probably the most dangerous job/title and oftentimes the most thankless. The responsibilities are enormous yet require only little seconds to make life-altering decisions. Not every police officer is perfect, but neither are we. Their primary goal is to protect us, but more often than not, there are people who want to disrespect the police officers position ~ and THAT is the reason many people end up a casualty. There would be LESS harm and MORE protection if the unlawful would follow a lawful command. Too many of todays Perpetrators act as if the police officer is violating their rights to BREAK THE LAW - thats right ... Criminals act as if they have a RIGHT to be UNLAWFUL, and that the police officer should ignore them. My God - what kind of a world would we be living in if these THUGS were allowed to intimidate the LAW. Regardless of the most recent occurrences that have allowed people to riot and destroy and bully their way into trying to alter the course of police officers and their responsibilities, I still believe that (as a whole) we as a society are better protected when respect is given to the officer, and NOT this attitude of defiance as in the case of most perpetrators. Heres the SOLUTION: STOP BREAKING THE LAW ... then 99% of these casualties (and arrest) simply wont occur. I bet there are actually people out there who think all this rioting and destruction is going to change things ?? NO, AMERICA cannot nor should not give in to threatening behaviors - this cannot continue or else well become a Nation of Thug-Threats where criminals rule. Get real - live a clean law-abiding life and stop acting like thugs and criminals have a right to push the police officer to the point of having to shoot you. Its THAT simple - for police officers DO NOT wake up everyday thinking now who can I shoot today. Crime and violence will CEASE when criminals and thugs cease their unlawful behaviors. Its that simple.
