The Power of Poetry Allow me to invade, like a plague From back during the dark shaded age But not to ensue a rage or cause damages with my ammo Shattering fragments like a grenade! Instead I am the soother and not the abuser Adding sutures to all open incisions Applying band aids to cover up any scarred parts Carved in From lifes sharply shaved blade I wanna be influential to your mental Infectious in that section in the brain stem When sensation stems Entering your deep thought caves and ride upon the surge of your brain waves Admiring your gaze as you stand amazed I want you to remember me As if I were intimacy! Exploding from an over load of this road weve drove After youve purged on every word Every noun and every verb With an ending result of ecstasy! Be astounded by me! Take in all of me! With enough potency one would need to over dose on a fatal dose of dope And I will remain in your veins As my vocabulary parties within your arteries Leaving you a victim! Inflicted with the addiction of its rhythm But this high will prove to be beneficial Making you submissive to the intentions Coded in every single indenture And sealing it with a one of a kind signature! ..............................
