The Power of Surrender The power of Jesus surrender to Gods will was the power overcoming the darkness of the cross. If Jesus had not surrendered to the will of His Father in heaven, there would have been no cross. With no cross, the sin and evil in human beings would have been the dominant force upon the earth. If there had been no cross, you would have no hope for the future. The Lord said in, Matthew 26:52 - 54Put your sword back in its place, Jesus said to him, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way? If there had been no cross, you would be living in a dark, cold world without the light of His love and hope. In place of the sword representing war and power, we now live with the image of our beloved Savior who died innocently upon the Tree. Christ did all this for you. Christ died on the cross to save you, to rescue you, to redeem you, to see you born anew, and to keep you with Him for eternity. Jesus is Lord Pastor Rubin Wilson
