The Power to Change is an exciting new Big Lottery Fund initiative launching on the 6th December in Manchester. Here is what Nat Sloan, Chair of BLF, has said about it programme in the recruitment guide issued by Saxton Bampfylde, the company handling recruitment to the Board of Trustees that will oversee the £150m programme. The Power to Change Trust is an exciting initiative from the Big Lottery Fund. It will fund and support community-led enterprises to create new opportunities for people to come together to sort out problems and improve the places where they live. I am delighted that you are interested in finding out more about it. The Power to Change will be the largest new grant-making foundation set up in recent years, and we are very excited about the scale and potential of this new investment. To achieve all we hope for this has to be about much more than just setting up an organisation to choose and fund some great projects. It has also to be part of long term cultural change in how people come together and tackle the issues that matter to them. We want to combine doing good and making a difference with the commercial and entrepreneurial skills to have a lasting impact long after the initial grant finishes.
