The President obviously believes in lots of government, centered in Washington and reaching into everything from our gun cabinets to our medicine cabinets. But some states are finally saying, “Enough!”…Politico reports that Obama’s ever-expanding federal government agencies, federal regulations and executive orders have sparked a rising state-level revolt known as “nullification.” State legislatures are passing laws that overturn or opt out of federal laws. For instance, 37 states have introduced bills to alter federal gun laws. Some are preemptive nullification. That means the state won’t enforce anything Washington comes up with in the future, which they just assume will be a stupid idea. Legal experts warn these laws likely won’t stand up in court. But proponents say they send a clear message to Washington: We, the people, are sick and tired of federal overreach. Will the administration get the message? Well, we could ask the Attorney General. But he’s too busy trying to take over elections in Texas. For more of the Huckabee Report visit MikeHuckabee.
